The Chantier de l’économie sociale principal mandate is to promote and develop collective entrepreneurship in Quebec. Its mission is to promote the social economy as an integral part of Quebec’s plural economy and, in so doing, to participate in the democratization of the economy and the emergence of this development model based on the values of solidarity, equity and transparency. Mr. Gagnon holds a graduate degree in law and management of collective enterprises, and has expertise in concerted territorial development as well as in support and financing of social economy enterprises. At the Chantier de l’économie sociale, he is in charge of support for structuring projects, the creation of new tools to meet the needs of businesses, such as participatory capital financing (l’ampli project) as well as the design of new public policies in favor of the social economy.
